HOW
THE LEGACY BIBLE OUTLINE SERIES CAME TO BE
The Legacy Bible Outline Series is a collection
of the personal outlines and study notes of Patricia Hulsey, one of the
founders of Harvestime International Network and the author of the Harvestime
Institute curriculum.
When
Patricia was a young seminary student, one of her professors suggested that if
a person was serious about their study of God's Word then they should start a
file folder on every book of the Bible.
These folders would be used for personal study notes, teaching and sermons notes, as well as
articles and outlines collected from reading various source materials.
Patricia
followed this suggestion and created a file for every book in the Bible, plus a
folder for numerous topical studies.
Many of the topical study files she created later became part of
the curriculum of Harvestime
International Network.
The
file folders on the books of the Bible soon grew to fill entire notebooks, one
on each book of the Bible. As Patricia
was reflecting on who should receive this material if she passed on the mantle
of the ministry someday, she was impressed to edit the material and make it
available not to just one person, but to the entire world through the Internet.
The unique format of The Legacy Bible Outline
Series, written in MS Word, enables you to add your own thoughts and
revelations as you study and further expand the outlines. The questions on each chapter and the
supplemental studies are designed to help you delve deeper into the truths of
God's Word. The final question on each chapter in the Bible asks you to relate
the content of that passage to your life and ministry. This is the most important part of The Legacy Bible Outlines, as
information alone does not change your life.
It is an application that results in supernatural transformation.
It
is Patricia's prayer that these outlines will inspire you to an ongoing study
of God's Word and that you will, in turn, will pass these materials on to
others along with additional insights the Lord gives you.
What a great legacy to leave your children, grandchildren, your
students, or your church! It is our
prayer that The Legacy Bible Outlines
will continue to increase both in content and distribution around the world.
This
